Animations are a powerful way to make the user experience feel more natural and engaging, and are essential tool for most UX designers. With React growing considerably in popularity, building components with effective animations of the moving parts is something that all front end developers will need to be able to do.
The React component lifecycle doesn’t lend itself to applying transitions in the ways that we’re used to. The ReactCSSTransitionGroup provides a way to use CSS transitions. In this talk, I'll explore using the ReactCSSTransitionGroup, and demonstrate some quirky edge cases and real life examples.
